La première édition des Rencontres Musicales du Château d’Ainay-le-Vieil
Les plus beaux projets se font grâce à des rencontres. Grâce à un ami commun, nous avons rencontré le chef d’orchestre David Molard Soriano. La musique s’est alors naturellement invitée à Ainay pour donner naissance aux « Premières Rencontres Musicales du château d’Ainay-le-Vieil » en août dernier.
Pendant trois jours, David Molard Soriano, ses invités et l’orchestre des Rencontres nous ont guidés en musique dans les jardins clos des chartreuses, le long des canaux Renaissance et au cœur de la magnifique salle des archers. Avec plus de 300 spectateurs, 15 évènements musicaux et 40 artistes, ce festival se veut bâtisseur de liens entre le patrimoine séculaire, le public, la musique, le théâtre, les artistes de la région et les jeunes artistes français.
Un moment qui a enchanté le public ayant répondu présent et que nous serons heureux de retrouver pour la seconde édition des « Rencontres Musicales du Château d’Ainay-le-Vieil » du 17 au 20 août 2023.
European Heritage Days
The European Heritage Days took place on Sunday September 18, on the theme of "Sustainable Heritage".
Two lectures were given:
The first was given by Richard Duplat, chief architect of Monuments Historiques, who described the fascinating restoration of the château d'Ainay-le-Vieil, in particular the Renaissance main building. The heritage enthusiasts in attendance asked many questions. An experience that will certainly be repeated as the work progresses, and which will continue until 2025.
In the second part, Madame Annie Badower talked about "La Forêt de Tronçais, ses chênes, ses légendes, ses fonts et ses forges". A passion she was able to share, and which encouraged conference participants to discover or rediscover this precious heritage that needs to be safeguarded.
Colloque Colbert, Saturday, September 24
Ainay-le-Vieil tells the story of France, as the château or its owners have always been close to power and have participated in the events that have shaped our country. Ainay tells the story of France through its walls and family memories, notably those of Jean-Baptiste Colbert, minister to Louis XIV, Emperor Napoleon I, and the three generals of the Empire: Edouard, Auguste and Alphonse de Colbert. It was therefore only natural to organize a symposium to highlight the role played by the Colberts in the history of France, in the politics of their time and in the art that served political power.
This symposium was organized by Marie-Sol de La Tour d'Auvergne and Dominique Brême for the scientific part, who called on high-level speakers:

- A fascinating day during which these scholars succeeded in showing, through the Colberts, the extraordinary richness and creativity of the arts in the 17th century.

Sculpture garden at Château d'Ainay-le-Vieil expands
This year, Daniel Hourdé's monumental bronze sculptures took over the remarkable gardens of Château d'Ainay-le-Vieil for the entire 2022 season.
Elles déambulaient selon un parcours enchanteur dans la roseraie et aux alentours. Daniel Hourdé traite de l’Enfer et du Paradis, de la cupidité de l’Homme dont la vanité n’a de limite que sa propre finitude, de la nature et des mythes qui nous construisent… mais un miracle reste toujours possible. Daniel Hourdé entre ainsi dans la collection d’Arielle et Hervé Borne, propriétaires du château d’Ainay-le-Vieil.
The choice of work was a difficult one, finally settling on "Dans la Gueule du loup", which adds a new dimension to the château's sculpture garden. A masterful sculpture, highly representative of Daniel Hourdé's work.
