Levon Maret vibraphone and percussion
First in Geneva, then in New York, Levon studied vibraphone and percussion. In New York, where he went on the strong recommendation of his brother Grégoire Maret, Levon performed in famous clubs alongside renowned musicians such as Candido Camero, Giovanni Hidalgo, Chico Freeman and Jimmy Scott.
Back in Switzerland, Levon plays alongside Daniel Humair and wins several prizes: the Jeunesses Musicales Suisses competition, and the Marescotti and Patiño grants. Levon continues his travels, visiting Mali to immerse himself in its culture.
He leads several groups in a variety of musical genres (30s jazz, afro-funk, free jazz, world music). He performs with his brother, harmonica player Grégoire Maret, as well as with Marcus Miller.
