Jean-Luc Tingaud - piano

While graduating from the Ecole Polytechnique, Jean-Luc studied piano and conducting at the Conservatoire National de Paris. As an assistant to Manuel Rosenthal, himself a pupil of Maurice Ravel, Jean-Luc Tingaud developed a passion for French music. In 2000, Jean-Luc created the Atelier OstinatO in Paris, bringing together young professional musicians who perform in prestigious venues such as the Opéra Comique, the Théâtre du Châtelet, the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, the Théâtre de l'Athénée and at numerous festivals in France and abroad.

As a conductor, Jean-Luc has conducted "Les Noces de Figaro" at the Théâtre Mogador in Paris, "L'heure espagnole" with the Atelier Lyrique de l'Opéra de Paris... he was associate conductor at the Opéra Comique from 2002 to 2007. In 2004, his career opened up internationally. He was invited to the Barbican to conduct the English Chamber Orchestra with soloists Joshua Bell and Steven Isserlis. Since then, he has been a regular guest conductor with the Orchestra Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini, the Warsaw and Krakow Philharmonic Orchestras, the Pittsburgh Opera...
