At the end of the tale...

The world of fairy tales invites itself to the Château d'Ainay-le-Vieil. Three artists use photography and video to present their personal vision of fairy tales.

Aline Kundig approaches the subject in the form of a photo novel. "Les Reines du Monde" tells the story of two women's quest for a nameless kingdom in an indistinct era. A story full of humor and emotion that pokes fun at our epics of love, whether we're queens or not.

Thanks to an installation specially designed for this exhibition: video, series of photographs, mirrors and a nursery rhyme, Emmanuelle Michaux tackles the subject of the marvellous, behind which often lurks a dark side.

Arielle de La Tour d'Auvergne presents a series of 7 photos: "La clé des contes". The images were all taken at the Château d'Ainay-le-Vieil. A story that takes us into a mysterious château , and as we wander around and discover objects, plunges us into the magical world of fairy tales, between dream and reality.
