- Admission to the Château and gardens is free for children under 5.
- Reduced rates apply for children aged 5 to 11 (park and garden tour OR guided tour of château + park and gardens: see Rates tab).

Costumed tour
- More magic for château tours! Children are invited to don a beautiful costume* that will transform them into a medieval knight or lady-in-waiting, and with which they'll passionately follow the tour of the ramparts and château! Welcome knights and ladies!

A dedicated day: Ainay celebrates children
Chaque année, en début de saison, le château d’Ainay-le-Vieil célèbre la famille et propose un programme spécial à découvrir tous ensemble : chasse au trésor, ateliers de cirque et de jeux anciens, magie des contes théâtralisés, promenade à dos d’âne autour du château, etc.
Parents, enfants, grands-parents sont invités à passer une journée familiale, amusante et festive.

Inédit ! Concours du Jeune guide
Au cours de cette saison 2025, le Château d’Ainay-le-Vieil organise un concours inédit dans le but d’impliquer les enfants et de valoriser l’histoire unique du Logis Renaissance et du Château d’Ainay-le-Vieil auprès des plus jeunes et de leur famille.
