Sunday 30 May: Ainay celebrated the family
This great celebration, which was planned for Easter, was finally postponed due to the governmental measures linked to Covid. On Sunday 30 May, the egg hunt was transformed into a treasure hunt, to the delight of young and old.
Under a radiant sun, the Château d'Ainay-le-Vieil celebrated the family, a value dear to Arielle and Hervé Borne. "Ainay has always been a family place and this is the spirit that we try to maintain over time. Easter has long been a time of reunion for our family. Moments of celebration that have made this day unforgettable. So we have created a programme to ensure that all generations have a good time, create memories and bond."
Much appreciated animations
Our visitors were able to participate in a treasure hunt thanks to Kid Evenementiel. They could learn about the circus, discover old games and have their first ride on mechanical ponies thanks to All kinds of activities. For the most adventurous among them, our young princesses and knights were able to ride around the castle on a donkey thanks to the Pôle de l'âne et du cheval (donkey and horse centre ) and the association... The Pace Company introduced us to the magical world of theatrical tales.
This busy schedule did not prevent those who wished to visit the castle or discover our new escape game.
See you in 2022 for a new edition
Friday 4 June to Monday 30 August: Colorius Giganteus
"Colorius Giganteus"? A giant colouring book, as a reference to the names of plants for a botanist. It was created by the internationally renowned landscape designer and sculptor Claude Pasquer.
French heritage as inspiration
On the theme of "France is a garden", Claude Pasquer wanted to highlight our garden heritage in France. Our visitors will be able to exercise their talents on this immense playful and evolving fresco, by colouring the gardens of Versailles, Fontainebleau, Chambord, Villandry and of course Ainay-le-Vieil. The castle of Ainay-le-Vieil, a place dear to Claude Pasquer's heart, since as a child he spent his summers in the region.
The work will remain on site until 30 August.
You can also find a colouring of Claude Pasquer from 5 June at the Domaine de Poulaines
From 5 June to 3 October: TOTEMS A CIEL OUVERT DE JULIEN MARINETTI
After having exhibited at the Place de la Concorde in Paris, the artist exhibits his monumental works in the gardens of the Château d'Ainay-le-Vieil.
A complete artist
Julien Marinetti is a painter, sculptor and engraver. After years devoted to oil and acrylic painting, he tried his hand at sculpture. His pictorial work then took a new turn.
The artist exhibited his first realistic bronze sculpture, the iconic bulldog "Doggy John". He emancipated himself. Sculpture became the privileged support for his own painting: from this fusion, he created what he called "Art Syncretism", at once painting, engraving and sculpture.
The works will remain in place until 3 October.
