Many of you came to enjoy the various events from the very start, in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

A merry month of May

Learning while having fun: that's the project our guides have been working on since the beginning of May, organizing theatrical tours.

Messire de la tête en l'air, Dame Olivette and Messire de la mèche au vent tell the story of the castle in a playful and original way. A fun way to learn history, to the delight of children and their parents.

Luxuriant nature

The rain did the gardens at Château d'Ainay-le-Vieil some good. Nature woke up gracefully for the "Jardins ouverts pour le Neurodon" operation.

A great way to highlight the many benefits nature has to offer the brain. During the weekend of May 6 and 7, €2 from each admission ticket was donated to the FRC (Fédération pour la Recherche sur le Cerveau).

Bonsai pruning workshops organized by Maria MilletAinay village resident and Bonsai Master, were a great success, as was the Renaissance-inspired "From Earth to Table" lunch created by Maria Rodriguez, Chef at "La Volière", the Château d'Ainay-le-Vieil restaurant.

It's an opportunity to follow a beautiful program in the park and gardens of the Château d'Ainay-le-Vieil while doing a good deed.

See you next year.

Long live the family

On Sunday May 21, "Ainay fête la famille" welcomed young and old alike for a fun-filled afternoon.

Estelle(kid Evenementiel) was back for her treasure hunt. Animationstoutazimut had set up several circus workshops, antique games and mechanical ponies in the high courtyard, and the Pace company told us the story of "La bête à sept têtes" ("The seven-headed beast"). A newcomer to the animation team was theAimanimale association. Emma, the animator, was accompanied by a donkey and a she-lamb to show us how to look after these animals.

See you next year.

Opening of the exhibition "Entre terre et ciel" by sculptor Juan Garaizabal

May 13 saw the opening of an exhibition of sculptures by Juan Garaizabal, a visual artist, sculptor and engraver internationally renowned for his monumental sculptures. A moment of sharing between art, architecture and history during which the artist explained the genesis of each of the nine works exhibited in the château's gardens, one of which will join the collection of Arielle and Hervé Borne, current owners of Château d'Ainay-le-Vieil.

An exhibition organized in partnership with Galerie Capazza and on view until 1er October.

The exhibition opening took place on Friday, May 13, and the artist presented 7 of his works. Male forms in bronze, questioning the nature of man. A successful vernissage amidst the roses.

The 2023 season continues, and the Château d'Ainay-le-Vieil joins in the "Land of Creation" theme celebrated this year by the Centre Val de Loire Region's "Nouvelles Renaissances".

Heritage and nature, creativity and culture, art de vivre and gastronomy are just some of the subjects on the program at Château d'Ainay-le-Vieil.
