In accordance with the government's instructions, the Château d'Ainay-le-Vieil and the gardens are closed until further notice.
Nevertheless, restoration and refurbishment work is continuing, and the Château d'Ainay-le-Vieil is set to open its doors on April 1, 2021 for another special season.
The château's team now has the experience of the last season. It will now make it a point of honor to comply with the health and safety recommendations put in place by the authorities to ensure the safety of all visitors.

Within the walls of a 17th century farmhouse, the castle has set up a museum of "Arts and Popular Traditions". A private collection of objects and furniture from the daily life of a Berry village can be discovered in a remarkable setting.

Overlooking an enclosed garden, the château's shop offers souvenirs for young and old, delicatessen items, a second-hand shop and a selection of decorative objects and tableware.
The main aim was to highlight local craftsmanship and exclusive collaborations.
