On August 15th, the village of Ainay-le-Vieil was transformed into a gigantic flea market, much to the delight of bargain hunters.
Between the villages of La Celette, La Perche and Ainay-le-Vieil, it's become a tradition. A flea market is held every August 15.
And each in turn. This year, it was Ainay-le-Vieil that "hosted" this friendly event, eagerly awaited by bargain hunters from the region and other tourists.
More than 80 exhibitors took part, all set up along the village's main street, in the church square and, for the first time, in the new parking lot reserved for visitors to the château, graciously made available by the Comité des Fêtes. Everyone found the object of their dreams in the sunshine and friendly atmosphere.
If the rendez-vous is given to Ainay-le-Vieil in three years' time, on August 15, 2022, it will be La Perche's turn to host next year.
