Sophie Peduzzi has now staged a King's Day at the château. The program included the dressing of the Queen and the King in the Grand Salon, the ramblings of the Montespan in the King's Chamber, Molière's bon mots in the court lulled by Lully's music, and a play in the Salle des Archers for which the actors improvised magnificently on the themes of religion, gardens and lust... An extraordinary immersion in the salons of Versailles and the banter of the members of the court....
A daring and successful project, written by a heritage lover and performed by a talented troupe, to the delight of the audience...

Les Rencontres are one event after another, and this year a new formula was proposed. The festival took place over four days, allowing conductor and artistic director David Molard Soriano to offer a more varied program, including an opera: Eugene Onegin.
The orchestra in residence, wonderful soloists such as Manon Galy and Florian Sempey, and singers like Fiona Fauchois, Mathilde Liberté, Volodymir Kapshuk and Paul Gaugler made this third edition another success.
Les Rencontres Musicales du Château d'Ainay-le-Vieil is an exceptional festival, not only for the talent of the artists who perform there, but also for the openness of its program, aimed at connoisseurs and neophytes alike.
